### 4. Type the name or email of the person you wish to add. Select the person you wish to add and repeat for all team members.

> ℹ️ For Departmental Teams, you will want to add all department personnel. You will further segment your teams through channels. For Committees and Commissions, add all committee members.

### 5. Change the "Member" and "Owner" attributes as needed for each person. Click on Add

> ⚠️ It’s important to understand member roles and what permissions a user has. When in doubt, only give Member permissions. > ℹ️ Channels are the key to managing sub-departments and segmenting your team into smaller groups. The "General" channel exists for all teams and is viewable to all team members. As seen here, we have created various channels for communicating via messaging posts and file sharing. Creating private channels allows teams to post comments and store data that is not viewable to an entire department (i.e., a leadership channel with employee performance reports or finance reports). ### 7. Click on the Channels tab and click Add channel.
