# The following instructions will connect your NNU-managed Mac OS to NNU WIFI

> ℹ️ **All personal devices require ****[Guest Registration](https://nnuitservices.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TMR/pages/2507776)****, which is valid for 1 year. The following instructions are only required for NNU-managed devices.**

# 1) Connect to the "NNU Guest" WIFI network                                 

<span style="color: #172b4d">Open up your network options by clicking on the wifi symbol </span>> Macro (inline-media-image)

<span style="color: #172b4d">A menu will open like the one shown below. Select the "</span>**NNU Guest**<span style="color: #172b4d">" network and connect to it.                                       </span>

# 2) Open Safari and navigate to the "NNU Onboarding" page

<span style="color: #172b4d">Open the Safari web browser and enter "nnu.edu" in the search bar. You will be directed to the website shown below.  </span>

> 📝 *If the Safari browser does not redirect you to the page shown below, enter* "https://nnuguest.nnu.edu"

If prompted, select “<span style="color: #ff5630">reprovision your device here</span>”.

# 3) Logging In            

<span style="color: #172b4d">After clicking on the "Onboard" button shown above, enter your NNU username (email) and password. After your username and password are entered click the "Log in" button.</span>

# 4) Configuring Your Device

After you have logged in, you must install a "Certificate" and a "Profile". Installing these two files will configure your device to connect to the NNU WIFI network. 

When you click each of the install buttons shown above, a file will be downloaded. You may see the following notification.

> ⚠️ You **must** download both files before continuing.

To get to your profiles go to "System Preferences" and open "Profiles".

Inside of "Profiles", install the new "Device Enrollment". 

> ⚠️ If you have set up WiFi on this device before, you may see a profile called “Device Enrollment” already installed.
> ⚠️ 
> ⚠️ You **must **remove the old profile before installing the new one.

Click install on each of the prompts. It will ask a few times while it installs the profile and certificate.

If the process has succeeded, you should see the action boxes disappear, and "3 Settings" will be displayed below "Device Enrollment".

If all of the steps have been completed successfully, you should see the page below displayed on your browser.

# 5) Connecting to the "NNU WIFI" network.

Now that you are all set up to connect to the "NNU Wifi" network, select that network as the one you want to be connected to. 

Open up your network options by clicking on the wifi symbol > Macro (inline-media-image)

 at the top right corner of your desktop.

# 5a) Connecting to the "NNU WIFI" network

> 📝 *To ensure that your computer does not try to log in on the "NNU Guest" network, be sure to "Forget" that network. *

# 5b) Connecting to the "NNU WIFI" network continued

1) Select "NNU Guest" →  2) Click the "-" button → 3) Click "OK" at the bottom right of the screen.

# 6) Check the connection

<span style="color: #172b4d">Open your preferred Web Browser and verify that you can navigate to multiple websites.</span>

> 📝 *Note: google.com is not a good test for connectivity due to our network access.*
