Before requesting new software, it is essential to evaluate existing solutions thoroughly. Please start by reviewing the list of already approved software. If a suitable alternative is already in place, leveraging it can save considerable time and expense. Consider the full lifecycle costs and potential redundancies before requesting new software.

Many approved applications are preinstalled on campus machines or can be installed using the Software Center (called Self Service on MacOS).
