## Using the classroom technology

### Video

#### The technology in this classroom is controlled using a touch panel display. Below is what the screen looks like in its default state.

- To get started, press either of the <span style="color: #339966">**Green Buttons**</span> that say **Power ON**. This will turn on the projector and both TVs, lower the screen, and unmute the audio.


- You can select from four inputs; computer **Monitor 1** and **Monitor 2**, a guest **HDMI** input and a guest **DisplyPort** input. **Monitor 1** is selected by default.
- Press an input button to select that input.

### Audio

- When you select an input, the volume for that input is displayed on the left side of the touch screen.

- The Master Volume on the right side, controls the volume of everything and also allows you to mute all audio.

### There are two wireless microphones available in Jackson, two handheld microphones OR two lapel microphones OR one of each, but only two at a time.

- The microphones are labeled with Wireless 1 and Wireless 2, only one of each can be used at a time.

- To turn on the microphones press and hold the red ON/OFF button for 3 sec. Press and hold again to turn microphone off.

- The microphone audio is unmuted by default and you do not have to turn the whole system on to use them. They can be used independently.
- The microphone volume can be adjusted by pressing the
  button and then pressing
  or
  on the Wireless 1 or Wireless 2.

### Advanced Operation

#### The Projector, Screen and TVs can be controlled independently if desired.

- To access device controls, select one of the three devices.

- When you select a device, controls for that device are displayed on the left side of the touch screen.

- On the Projector menu the
  button will blank the video on the projector and
  and
  will move the screen up or down respectively.
  - There are also screen controls located on the front of the teaching station.
