#### Have you recently received a call from someone in the community telling you to stop calling them when you haven't called?

Recently, the number of calls to campus extensions from our community has increased with people reporting someone is using our phone numbers to masquerade as an NNU number calling them.

The Better Business Bureau and the FCC call these "Neighbor Spoofing", and it is not uncommon at all. The telemarketer's main goal is to just get someone to answer their phone, then the spiel begins. What is the best way to get you to answer? Use a caller ID masking program that shows a "familiar" number, or a reputable business.
