Duo Mobile is used to protect your NNU accounts. It requires something you know (your password) and something else you have (a phone or login device) that tells the system it is really you trying to log in. We recommend using the Duo Mobile smartphone app as the 2nd step for login authentication for all of your <span style="color: #000000">NNU accounts. </span>You can opt for a phone call to a cell phone if it is not a smartphone. We also recommend that you take the time to put two-factor login authentication on your other non-NNU accounts. It just makes sense: Facebook, Dropbox, Banking, etc.

> If you cannot run the Duo Mobile app for some reason, as if your device is too old or restricted from downloading apps, then use text message (SMS) or phone call methods.

# Connect your NNU Account

### ​1. On a computer, open your browser and go to [http://my.nnu.edu](http://my.nnu.edu) . Click the Login button.

### 2. Enter your NNU email. Click Next.

### 3. Enter your NNU Password. Click Sign In.

### 4. Select Get started.

### 5. Select Duo Mobile.

### 6. Enter your mobile number and select Continue.

### 7. Select Send me a passcode.

### 8. Enter the passcode sent to your mobile number and select Verify.

### 9. Download the Duo Mobile app to your mobile device and select Next.

### 10. On your mobile device, open the Duo Mobile app. Select + Add, and select Use QR code. Scan the provided QR code.

### 11. Select Continue.

### 12. Select Skip for now. You may return to the Duo app later if you wish to complete additional steps.

### 13. Select Log in with Duo.

### 14. If using an NNU device, Select No, other people use this device.

> ℹ️ If you chose to *Send me a push, *your cell phone will have a notification. Tap *Approve*. Remember that if you are NOT logging in, you should not tap Approve when you receive a push notification. If you are in doubt, check the location details on the push screen.
