# Configuring Forwarding Rules in Outlook

**Note: **Forwarding to external email accounts is disabled for NNU employees.

### 1. Click on Settings

### 2. Click on Rules

### 3. Click on Add new rule

### 4. Name your rule i.e. "Forwarding" or "Redirecting"

### 5. Click on Select a condition

### 6. Click on Apply to all messages

### 7. Click on Select a action

### 8. Select your routing option i.e. Forward to, or Redirect to

- Messages that are forwarded will appear to be forwarded from you. When you reply to a message that has been forwarded, the reply will be sent to the address the message was forwarded from, not to the original sender.
- Messages that are redirected will appear to come from the original sender. When you reply to a message that has been redirected, the reply will be sent to the original sender.

### 9. Input an email address for this condition
