Adobe software is reserved for authorized NNU students and employees.

- Art and Music program students will obtain access to Adobe Software through their professor or the departmental program assistant.
- Employees must complete a ticket on [help.nnu.edu](http://help.nnu.edu) to ask for Adobe software, providing details on which Adobe product they expect to use and reasons their job requires the software, along with their manager’s approval. After approval and software has been enabled, follow these steps to log in.

## \uD83D\uDCD8 Instructions for logging into Adobe

> ℹ️ Before attempting to access software on adobe.com, complete a [help ticket](https://nnuhelp.sherpadesk.com) requesting access, including your supervisor as a cc. The supervisor will need to approve your request.

1. After receiving notification that your license is ready, navigate to [https://account.adobe.com](https://account.adobe.com). Use your NNU email address as your username. If you have not had an account before, click “Create an Account.” ***You will make your own password.***
  
2. After you enter your password, you may have to authenticate with a code sent to your email.
3. If you see options for logging in on a personal account or work, choose the NNU or work account option.
4. Next, you will land on the home page for Adobe Creative Cloud.
5. You will see many individual apps available to you. The little symbols in the upper right corner above each app mean you can use them on a variety of devices or on the web.
6. Most of the apps work great on the web without downloading to your computer, and we have found that the web apps work better in some ways than the desktop apps. However, you are welcome to ask the ITS help desk how to install apps if you opt for desktop apps. Put in a ticket on [help.nnu.edu](http://help.nnu.edu) for assistance.

> ℹ️ ***PLEASE NOTE:**** When a student or employee leaves NNU, their account is deactivated and all their documents are deleted 60 days later. Move your work to personal storage before leaving to avoid loss.*

## Exploring Creative Cloud Apps

You will see many available apps on the Adobe Creative Cloud landing page. Most of them work great as web apps. Some only work as desktop apps.

As you explore the apps, you will see a message at the bottom of the page that says to download the Creative Cloud app launcher to your computer. This is not necessary unless an app you want to use won’t work as a web app. 

The Creative Cloud installation from the Adobe page will fail for most campus-managed computers, so we prepared a package for NNU computers on the Software Center. Just click the Software Center icon on your computer desktop and select the Creative Cloud app. If you do not see the app in the Software Center, put a ticket in with [help.nnu.edu](http://help.nnu.edu), ensuring you have already been approved for an Adobe license for your work.
