The LockDown Browser is a browser (like Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.) that locks down a quiz or test from Canvas. The browser deters students from cheating by disabling a students ability to copy, print, and access other applications or websites during an online exam. The browser and testing settings are activated and managed through quizzes in Canvas. Students must download the LockDown Browser before they can take the quiz or exam. LockDown Browser is recommended for online exams taken live, in-class with an instructor or proctor present.
